A historic, three-day meeting between the Métis Nation of Ontario, Métis Nation of Alberta and our Métis Nation-Saskatchewan was held this week (January 14th – 16th) in Edmonton.  It marked the first time representatives of the three governments have come together since signing Métis Government Recognition and Self-Government Agreements with the federal government last June.  The gathering resulted in a resolution calling for transparency and accountability from the Métis National Council and a joint declaration to continue to work together.
